Solano County Young Farmers & Ranchers

The Solano County Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) is a standing committee of the Solano County Farm Bureau designed for young people who share an interest in improving themselves and the agricultural industry in Solano County. Young adults from the ages 18-25, who are interested in agriculture and/or work in the agricultural industry through production or business agriculture may join.

Young Farmers and Ranchers develop leadership skills while volunteering time as active, vital members of the Solano County Farm Bureau. There are many benefits to your participation as a YF&R. Members have the opportunity to attend Leadership Conferences and enter state YF&R contests representing themselves or Solano County, networking with the County Farm Bureau Board Members and other likeminded agriculturalists to help gain insight to your commidity and community, along with the ability to contribute greatly to fundraising efforts for local scholarships.

Solano County Young Farmers & Ranchers (SCYF&R) meets on the last Thursday every month at 6:30 p.m. We are always recruiting new members for the committee! Contact Mark Goddard at mgoddard@gartontractor.com for more information or call the Solano County Farm Bureau office  at (707) 449-8044 for a list of meeting locations.
