Almond Blossom Photo Fundraiser

This year, we are excited to offer a unique fundraising opportunity. We invite couples, families, and individuals to visit our Almond Orchard when it is in full, spectacular bloom to take beautiful photos. The orchard is in it’s tenth leaf (year), which makes it a beautiful opportunity to take photos in.

Details: Guests are required to bring their own photographer. This can range from a professional camera to an iPhone photoshoot—the farmers will not be taking the photos.

Donation: Access requires a minimum $50 donation per session made payable to the Solano County Agricultural Education Foundation.

Dates: Full bloom varies year to year, however, Saturday February 14th and Sunday February 15th -update to come as it gets closer.

Cultivating the next Generation

The Solano County Farm Bureau Ag Education Foundation is a service-driven nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization focused on sharing the importance of agriculture in our daily lives with our youth and community. The Foundation provides quality agricultural related education through events such as Ag in the Classroom, Farming at the Library, coloring contests, scholarships, and training opportunities.

A large part of The Foundation is providing scholastic financial awards to high school and undergraduate students continuing their education at the university level with a focus on agriculture. Ag in the Classroom

The California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom is a non-profit organization affiliated with California Farm Buearu Federation, and a partner of SCFB. Ag in the Classroom is dedicated to educating youth throughout California about the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.

Developing materials that are accurate, teacher-tested and scientifically sound to enhance the educational experience of K-12 students.
Providing programs, inspiration and training opportunities for educators.
Partnering with like-minded organizations to create awareness about the significance of agriculture in our everyday lives.
Recognizing teachers and students for their achievements in agricultural literacy.
Supporting the pursuit of agricultural careers and continuing education.

TEACHERS – Ag in the Classroom offers significant resources for incorporating agricultural education in your class! You do not have to be an ag teacher to take advantage of these resources. Additionally, Solano County Farm Bureau receives funds to sponsor Solano County teachers attending the California Agriculture in the Classroom Conference. Contact our office to learn more!
